The photo shows us collecting wheat from Upper Chancton Farm, Washington in January 2017. Our latest batch of grain, “Zyatt”, was collected from New House Farm in Hurstpierpoint on 3rd September 2020.
All flour currently being produced is from this “Zyatt” grain stock.
New grain stock can be put through our winnower to remove unwanted pieces of wheat stalk and other debris.
There are several places where you are able to purchase our flour:-
The mill itself during our normal opening times.
Other local outlets are: Adastra Deli and Budgens in Hassocks; The Post Office and Oaks Farm Shop in Ditchling; Falmer Farm Shop in Falmer; Rushfields Farm Shop in Poynings; Townings Farm Shop in Chailey; Cloughs Deli in Lindfield; Hampers in Hurstpierpoint; Middle Farm Shop in Firle.
Oldland Mill Trust can also offer guided group tours of the mill at any mutually convenient time. Numbers have to be restricted for safety reasons but a total of 16 visitors can be accommodated at any one time, split into two sub groups. Visitors of all ages can be accommodated and Guide, Scout and Youth groups are welcome (with suitable supervision) as well as more mature groups. There is no fixed charge but a donation to the mill funds is requested for each visit. Please email email@example.com for further information.
